The Da Vinci Code

ZOMG! I just finished reading The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown last night. It is soooo freaking gooood!! The author obviously did an amazing amount of research prior to writing the book. It uses actual facts and real life places in the story and yet it connects amazingly with the storyline which is of course fiction. Right after finishing the book, I rewatched the trailer for the movie which will be released worldwide on May 19th. When I watched the trailer a month ago when it was released (and having not read the book yet at the time), I was like WTF is going on?? Now, I'm astonished by how they made it look just like how I imagined while reading the book itself. Tom Hanks would obviously play the character of Robert Langdon perfectly (as always) but I didn't like his hairstyle =
And oh... If you're gonna read the book, try getting the Illustrated Edition if you can afford it. It's a bit expensive but it's filled with lots of pictures and sketches of real life places where the events in the book took place and also pictures of various other stuff that helps make you understand and appreciate it better. I highly recommend the book. If you know me well, you'd know that I don't read much. So there. If a person who doesn't even read recommends a book for you to read, it must be good :D

Back Home

Just got myself to setup my PC back at home. 56k sux. Now I have to wait 3 weeks before I could watch the new season of 24 :(

Yesterday a friend of mine said his gf was giving him the silent treatment for a few days coz he spends too much time playing games in front of his new PC rather than doing other important things (layan her). Suddenly just like in the cartoons, there was a glowing bulb above my head. I suggested him to get her some flowers to hopefully cheer her up. He was more worried of his bank account rather than the end result.

Today I went to the hospital with my parents. The doctor said the same thing, dad has to do an Angiogram to determine how bad his blocked blood vessel is. If it's just a little, he could just continue taking medicine and hopefully in time it'll clear up. Otherwise, he'll have to undergo a bypass, again.

I drove back home with sleepy eyes. Although I'm sure that I'm alert enough while driving, it bothered me a little. We stopped to have some drinks before continuing. We went to see our new home which we'll move into soon. There's still some interior work to be done. Mom wasn't too satisfied with the lighting =
Back home, I was lying around hoping to fall asleep when I got an SMS. "I guess your idea worked but I had to spend 60 bucks for it. Haha".
That alone made my day =)

Silent Day

Gah... What a boring day. I didn't talk to anyone (verbally) at all today (well, except for when my dad called in the morning, but that doesn't count). No ones around, at least those who I feel like talking to. I'm supposed to pack my stuff to go home tomorrow but as usual laziness took over me. Oh well, last minute packing... as always.

Anyways Fael has posted some kind of survey which I'm sure she made up herself (teeheehee) and 'tagged' me to do it too -_-

I'm a boring person, so things I say might not be very interesting. Oh well, here goes nothing...

Three names I go by:
  1. disket
  2. Stellar
  3. Haja
Three things that scare me:
  1. Height
  2. Total darkness
  3. Losing something I treasure
Three things I'm wearing right now:
  1. T-Shirt
  2. Kain Sarong
  3. Err.. that's all :p
Three people I admire:
  1. My dad
  2. My mom
  3. Dr. Mahathir (some people really need to think of all the good things he's done for us instead of bashing him)
Three things I want in a relationship besides "true love":
  1. Trust
  2. Honesty
  3. Did I mention trust?
Two truths and a lie:
  1. I love to sleep
  2. I love veggies, yumyum :D
  3. It takes a long time for me to fully recover from flu =(
Three things of the opposite sex that appeals to me:
  1. A good listener
  2. Good amount of patience (I tend to piss people off easily, cant help it :s)
  3. Cuteness~ :p
Three of my hobbies:
  1. Sleeping
  2. Gaming
  3. Collecting stamps... (Ok, this was when I was a kid. Not anymore)
Three things I want to do really bad now:
  1. Get home without having to travel (teleport)
  2. Get someone to sit beside me and talk
  3. Sleep
Three places I want to vacation at:
  1. Japan... obviously since I'm crazy about everything Japanese
  2. Switzerland
  3. USA
Three things I want to do before I die:
  1. Visit Akihabara dressed like an otaku!!
  2. Get hitched
  3. Perform Hajj at Mecca and ask for God's forgiveness for all the sins I've done. Insya-Allah.
Three ways I am stereotypically male:
  1. I can't help looking at girls
  2. I don't care how I smell (except if it's really bad)
  3. I'm bad with my studies
Alright I guess that's it. I'm off to pack some stuff and sleep. Ta~

Pening Kepala

I was supposed to go to KL today to meet a certain 'someone' and also to meetup with my 'gang YM'. Ninja promised to treat us all to kepci :P But well I decided not to go because of certain personal issues and also because I had a slight fever in the morning (sorry guys). At the end of the day, I heard from bully that only 3 people showed up. Apparently ana and alin were not feeling well too and nairud and trip were already committed for something else for the weekend. Ahh.. sokay guys we'll meetup again for sure next month before trip's departure to Penang kay (Ninja kena bayar utang kepci tau) :)

Hmm.. I'm supposed to go back home tomorrow for my vacation but my mom asked me to stay back til Monday. My dad wants to go to Mahkota Medical Centre to ask about undergoing an Angiogram there. Both my parents have been through a bypass before and after about 6 years, my dad has been having some problems and his doctor suggested him to have an Angiogram to determine if he has to undergo a bypass again...

Sudah jatuh, ditimpa tangga... Macam-macam problem aku ni, cemana nak tenang jiwa?

Dinner.. Finally!

After 1 whole week of suffering from appetite loss and not going out of the house for dinner with my 2 dinner-mates, finally I decided to go out to eat. For the uninformed, I spent the past week eating 2 slices of Gardenia bread per day and drinking plain water only.

Today I IM-ed Danyal, "Oi aku nak ikut pi makan ler. Lapar la pulak." and then came his reply, a *clap clap* emoticon -_-

Anyways, I had Tomyam Chicken with Plain Rice. Ahhh.... Nothing tastes as good as rice.

And oh those who understand Malay, please have a look at this video. It's a video of a
akad nikah, which is how Muslims get married. I'm not sure if it was from Kelantan or Southern Thailand because of the accent (you might have some trouble understanding it). I won't elaborate on how funny it is, you just have to take a look for yourself :P

Hello World!

Ok this is sooo 2003 but what the heck. I thought why not get myself a 'blog' (and I thought of this while I was in the exam hall this evening sitting for my finals paper). Actually I've been contemplating to do this for quite some time but somehow didn't get myself to actually do it.

The past week has been very hard on me and I've been blessed with friends (you know who you are) who care to give up their precious time to listen to my rantings and whinings. I hope by dumping what's on my mind here it could help me ease the pain. It's like talking to an imaginary friend, I think...

Well let's start with what happened today. I set my alarm at 6.30am and actually woke up at that time. But I was so tired that I decided to lie down for a bit. Then I woke up to see the time on my phone showing 1pm WTF?! I have a paper to sit at 2.30pm. So yeah I didn't get to do extra studying like I hoped.

The paper was pretty hard, even my friends said they got pwned so it's not just me. 2 hours later when it was time for us to leave the hall, the old fuc Invigilators (the dudes who walk around during the exam and pickup the papers later) told us to stay put until they tell us to leave coz apparently there aren't enough answer sheets submitted. ZOMG! They made us wait for more than half an hour!

Anyways I went back home tired and found myself watching Sakikage Cromartie High to release some stress (WARNING: Take off your brain before watching) then got myself to work on this.

Here's my favorite character from Cromartie. Click on the link to see full picture with his description lol.
